Awareness of Feelings
I have found that becoming aware of my feelings and being with them without judgment helps me to be more comfortable with them and the entire spectrum of emotions become more accessible. Most of my life my judgments of my emotions prevented me from truly feeling and experiencing many of them. Ultimately my judgments set up a protection system to protect my vulnerability and what is commonly referred to as my “golden child” or “vulnerable child.” While this was a great survival mechanism early in my life, I found it challenging and limiting as an adult and by removing my judgments around my feelings I have become a more authentic and integrated person.
